Transmission BO Engineer 2022
(Essentials, A Must)
1 to 3 years’ experience on
handling/troubleshooting transmission nodes.
Cisco and Ericsson certification for IP network is preferable.
Knowledge of IP, static and dynamic routing
Knowledge in HP/Cisco switches or routers is a plus
(e.g. 5930-32QSFP+ Switch, HP 6125XLG Blade Switch, Brocade 16Gb/16c SAN, Cisco
Knowledge in Ericsson Core, access and charging
system IP connectivity troubleshooting skills is a plus.
Cloud and virtualization knowledge and experience
will be added advantage.
Telecom Experience is a plus.
Script understanding and writing is a plus.
Working in 24/5 shifts.
Working on-call in weekends when required.
E-to-E 2nd level troubleshooting over IP Network
o L3 switches
o L2 Switches
o L2 Transmission Nodes
o MPLS (coordination
with third party)
Working in 24/5 shifts
Working on-call in weekends when required
2nd line troubleshooting for transmission related
outages and degraded issues on the below Equipment’s/ Systems using STC Trouble
Tickets System (RTTS):
o TN 2p, 6p, 20p (R5)
o SIU (Site integration
Daily work includes using following Ericsson NMS
(ENMs, So EM)
Support and guide NFM/FO-TX on troubleshooting for
Trouble Tickets related to Transmission.
Support other team for their E-to-E troubleshooting
(BO-Access, TNOC/SDH, GPON, Cisco)
Follow up with design team for the transmission
design issues (MW/LB/DCN, SDH/CWO, IPMPLS, and GPON).
Generate MW performance report and MW
utilization reports through ENMTx if required and take the necessary actions.
Attend Transmission committees for investigation
and analysis purposes.
MDT/TCN approval and verifications for transmission
Audit transmission network when required.
Opening/Follow up CSR’s with 3rd line support when
Configure and install
various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches)
maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and
